Cast-Off Mini Session

We cried, we hoped, we prayed, we believed ...

"Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked?"
Ecclesiastes 7:13

That His word was, and is, and always will be the TRUTH!

On Wednesday, May 22nd, 2013 ... after 9 body casts over 21 long months ... our brave son, Jackson, was deemed "cured" of his Progressive Infantile Scoliosis!

Although the road is not over, we are celebrating in the blessing that our journey continues in the right direction.

We are rejoicing in God's victory, Jackson's healing, and an absolutely fabulous excuse for a photography session.

Enjoy a few photos from our "Cast-Off Mini Session."

Daryl's Maternity Session

What an experience it is to photograph old friends during the most monumental seasons of their lives!  This weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting with Daryl and Bruce as the celebrated the upcoming arrival of their first daughter, due in July.  For as long as I've known Daryl, she's always been a horse enthusiast ... so her first "baby," Smokey, was a big part of this tender session.  I had a blast (and a bit of a challenge) capturing Smokey, Daryl, and Bruce's essence during this fun Maternity Session in Roanoke, Virginia.

Enjoy a sneak peek of their session.

anyone else jealous of this perfect bump?!?

Happy Birthday, Jackson & Oliver!

I don't often take so many professional-style photographs of my own kiddos.  However, shortly after last month's "spontaneous shoot" (which was totally a whim) ... BOTH of my little fellas had a birthday.  So, to capture the essence of these sweet ages, it was time for a session.

Here is a sneak peek from Jackson (3) and Oliver's (1) Birthday Session!

... and a few from my studio ...

... but nothing's complete without a cake smash! ...

Happy Birthday, Jackson & Oliver!

Spontaneous Shoot

Okay, maybe I got a bit carried away.  I couldn't help it!  The boys saw my studio set-up, and they were interested.  I only had about 15 minutes of their attention, but I think I succeeded in capturing the spontaneity of the moment.

As promised ...

... and even a single shot with mommy ...

Oh, how I love my crazy boys!

Headshots of My Own

Taking advantage of my studio set-up, I went ahead and captured a few headshots of myself!

... stay tuned for a few fun family photos as well ...

Headshots

I had fun "practicing" business headshots this morning with beautiful Janelle.

What a great model!

The results aren't bad either ...
